Community
We also provide services for rural communities, providing vital links for people who don't have access to their own transport. Without them, shopping trips, getting to school and travelling to work could be difficult for some and impossible for others. Travel advice
The Travel Advice for Education and Safety team at SYPTE tackles the perception that public transport is less safe than other forms of getting around. The team works mainly with schools, public transport operators and South Yorkshire Police to develop schemes that address this perception and promote a shift in thinking. The Travel Advice for Businesses and Communities team aims to provide people in South Yorkshire with information about all the travel options available to them. The team focuses on providing personalised, tailored advice to individuals, community groups, and public and private sector organisations within South Yorkshire.
