SOUTH YORKSHIRE’s bus, tram and train services will be running to festive timetables between 24 December and 3 January.
Most buses will follow their weekend timetables, with trams and trains running to revised timetables over the holidays.
Selected buses will run in Sheffield on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Boxing Day Services will offer a special £1 festive fare funded by Sheffield City Council and Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
Supertram will operate a festive Blue Route from Halfway to Meadowhall via the Cathedral, alongside the normal Yellow Route, on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Free parking at Halfway, Malin Bridge, Middlewood and Nunnery Square Park & Ride sites will be available on these days.
The 9.30am restriction on senior concessionary fares will also be lifted between 28 December and 1 January, allowing free travel for pass holders on buses and trams, and half price journeys across the South Yorkshire rail network, from beginning to end of service.
Those travelling by train should check with Network Rail or their operating company for any planned engineering works or local disruptions.
