South Yorkshire bus service changes

26 April 2017

CHANGES to some bus services in South Yorkshire will take place this weekend (29, 30 April and 01 May 2017). Passengers are being advised to check as soon as possible to see if their service has been affected.

Information about the service changes can be found on the Travel South Yorkshire website travelsouthyorkshire.com, in Travel South Yorkshire interchanges, at bus stops, on-board buses or by calling Traveline on 01709 51 51 51.

There will be changes to:

- Barnsley Stagecoach services 20/21/21a/22, 26/27, 28a/28c/29a/30a, 67, 218, 219/219a, 222, 265, X19 and X20, Waterson’s Coaches services 36, 37, 38 and 193 and Globe Coaches service 96.

- Doncaster First services 50/50a, 55/56, 58, 490 and X4, Stagecoach service 220, and Arriva services 405/407 and X45.

- Rotherham First service X1, and Powells services 4, 87, X7 and the Freebee.

- Sheffield First/Stagecoach services 52/52a and 120, First service X78, and Sheffield Community Transport services 10, 31/31a and M92. Service S6 will be withdrawn.

In addition to the above, some bus services will follow an alternative route in Sheffield city centre from 7 May for 10 weeks, due to essential highways works on Arundel Gate. Services 1/1a, 7/8/8a and X1 will run a revised northbound route from the Moor towards Castlegate via Flat Street, and will not serve Arundel Gate in this direction during this period.

Bus, tram and train services change throughout the year. Bus users can keep up to date by registering for a free timetable alert service on the Travel South Yorkshire website, which automatically sends an email when there is a change to their regular service.
