Can you meet the challenge?

We are looking for someone to actively contribute to the day-to-day management and delivery of SYPTE’s Communication Strategies. Part of the Marketing and Communications management team, the post holder will take responsibility for SYPTE’s public and media relations, corporate engagement, social media presence, corporate publications, award submissions, stakeholder communications, campaigns as well as events and activities to protect and enhance SYPTE and its associated brands’ public image and reputation. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, on an exciting scope of projects and campaigns, maximising SYPTE’s media and communications activities to promote the perception of public transport and sustainable travel modes. Actively driving the delivery of an integrated communications service, the post holder will be responsible for the maintenance of an effective core proactive and reactive press office function, including the production of high quality written content that ensures maximum positive impact.

 

Do you have the qualities?

You will need be educated to A level standard or equivalent, have a recognised qualification, preferably a degree, in an appropriate subject, as well as previous proven, substantial experience in public or media relations. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate the following • Literacy skills – adapts written communication strategies and styles to specific audiences • Project management – manages own contribution to project success • Team working – encourages and support others
