PUPILS and parents are being reminded to check for changes to school buses before term starts in September.
Revised services are set to run to 32 schools across South Yorkshire, following the BrightBus company’s closure earlier this year.
South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive, working with bus operators and local authorities, has co-ordinated replacement or alternative travel for all 78 school routes at risk, allowing over 12,000 pupil journeys to continue per day.
Travel information to schools previously served by BrightBus can be found at travelsouthyorkshire.com/brightbus.
Pupils travelling to school using local bus services may benefit from single and multi-operator tickets offering unlimited day, weekly and monthly travel at a discounted price for young people.
Timetable changes will take place on some local bus services in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster from 2 September. For more information visit travelsouthyorkshire.com or call Traveline 01709 51 51 51.
