Passengers are being reminded to check before they travel ahead of changes to Sheffield’s bus network.
Extra journeys will be added from Monday 12 April as more restrictions are removed in the Government’s Roadmap out of Lockdown.
“With social distancing measures still in place, we’re reminding passengers that there is reduced space on public transport services”, said South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive’s (SYPTE’s) Director of Customer Services, Tim Taylor.
“With more businesses, retail, close-contact and community services as well as some hospitality opening up again, we expect more people will need to use public transport and we want everyone to be able to travel as safely as possible. Please follow Government travel advice to help control the spread of Coronavirus by planning ahead, avoiding peak times, minimising the number of journeys you make, combining trips and trying to stay local.”
Service information and timetables are available at travelsouthyorkshire.com/servicechanges and via Traveline on 01709 51 51 51.
Passengers must wear a face covering when using public transport unless exempt, keep a safe distance, and wash or sanitise hands frequently to help everyone travel safely.
