As a Mayoral Combined Authority, we are current going through a period of Integration, which will see the Mayoral Combined Authority Executive and South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive come together as a single entity known as the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, we expect the organisations to be fully integrated by April 2022.

Data Collection Assistant (Fixed-term/Maternity Cover until September 2022)

Salary:  £18,278 - £19,129 pro rata, per annum

16 hours per week

We are looking for someone who will deliver a comprehensive and confidential administration support service to ensure the efficient operation of the Data Services team including the preparation, collation, and distribution of documentation as directed by the Data Services Manager. This will include budget, payroll, procurement/invoicing, work programmes, client specifications, project documentation, survey templates, letters and reports and presentations to ensure the smooth running of the office.

Ideally, you will have an understanding of transport and associated data collection and a working knowledge of data-scanning, warehousing techniques, and survey systems/applications (Alchemer, Survey Monkey or similar). Naturally you will be an excellent organiser with a professional attitude bringing together the work of the team in line with priorities agreed with the Data Services Manager using the IT suite to its full potential.

We are looking for someone with a positive personality, who enjoys a challenge, is a great team player, enjoys the challenge of meeting a deadline within a dynamic environment and who enjoys sharing and learning knowledge with whomever they meet.

You will need to be educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths and have a good understanding of transport and data collection and have a professional and methodical approach to system operations that you are ready to expand on.   

Our successful candidate will have good communications skills, excellent IT problem solving skills, excellent Data management skills, enjoy being part of a wider team and able to prioritise and work under pressure.

Contact Centre Assistant (permanent)

Salary:  £18,325 - £19,129 pro rata, per annum

30 hours per week, working 5 days out of seven on a rotating basis (Contact centre working hours: 0700 - 2000 Monday – Friday and 0800-2000 Saturday and Sunday)

This job is all about listening to your customer and solving their travel queries, quickly and with the minimum of fuss through various communication channels. We are looking for someone who is both quick with their IT skills and empathetic to the customers’ needs.

We offer first class training in our CRM system and equipped with these tools and working as part of a team you will be able to offer an excellent service across the region we serve.

We will support you further in your career with the opportunity to develop your skills in various projects across the organisation as well as key skills within your role.

Ideally you will have GCSE English and Maths, have a professional and methodical approach to work as well as great communication and good IT skills that you are ready to expand on.

Our successful candidate will have good communications skills, an empathetic approach to problem solving, good IT skills and enjoy being part of a wider team. You will be able to prioritise and work under pressure and be comfortable with working from home using a laptop.

Concessions & Ticketing Analyst (permanent)

Salary:  £21,518 - £27,227 pro rata, per annum

21 hours per week, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

We are looking for someone with experience of analysing large-scale datasets and developing insight. You will interrogate data creatively to gain as much intelligence as possible to deliver reports and recommendations.

You will be analytical, creative, and good at handling and organising business-critical data. You will be responsible for providing an analysis service to help the Concessions & Ticketing team deliver its key outputs, including calculating the correct levels of reimbursement to public transport operators, ensuring that the team’s business processes appropriately support business needs, and providing our senior management team with information about the impact of developments in the local public transport market.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills to agree, develop and manage the appropriate business intelligence, ensuring managers have access to accurate and timely information.

We are looking for someone with a positive personality, who enjoys a challenge, is a great team player, enjoys the challenge of meeting a deadline within a dynamic environment and who enjoys sharing and learning knowledge with whomever they meet.

You will have an A-Level in maths, economics or a similar subject, which demonstrates a good level of numeracy skills, and ideally an understanding of demand curves and elasticity values. It would be advantageous if you have the proven ability to analyse financial and statistical information and produce quality reports to a variety of stakeholders.

We are looking for a team member who can help us with modelling the costs of new policy initiatives. The successful candidate will need to be a great all-rounder, good with technology skills particularly in complex spreadsheet models.

Contact Centre Supervisor (12 months fixed term contract)

Salary:  £19,129 - £23,274 per annum pro rata

37 hours per week

Are you a dynamic individual with the determination to drive continuous improvements in customer experience? The successful candidate will supervise the daily operations of the Contact Centre, including directing of day-to-day activities of Contact Centre and Customer Liaison Assistants, to deliver the highest standards of performance and operational efficiency. You will support the team through mentoring and coaching and be the first line support for any escalated contacts. You will ensure that, as a team, we deliver a customer-focused approach to reach appropriate resolutions to issues that arise.

Your role will include supporting the Contact Centre Manager with resource planning to meet the demands of our operational opening hours, and delivery of the department business plan, reporting any operational issues with the potential to affect business processes and performance along with recommended actions to mitigate risks. You will maintain accurate information in relation to the performance of the Contact Centre, to support workflow and quality assessment management, and work with and act upon customer feedback with internal/external stakeholders to ensure that records are accurate, reconciled and that actions required are progressed and completed promptly.

You will understand the role of Contact Centre operations and be confident in liaising with and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including partner organisations and other operating companies).

The successful candidate will also have the following qualities:

•         Previous experience of providing customer services via telephony, to the public

•         Experience in Contact/Call Centre environment

•         Experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role
